Created by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee for Marvel Comics, the character of Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, first appeared in Strange Tales #110 in 1963. He continued to appear in this run of comic books and later appeared in other Marvel publications.
In the years following his debut, he has appeared in animated television shows, a failed TV pilot, video games, and several movies within Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. According to reports, he will be getting his third standalone movie in 2026 based on the Time Runs Out comic book, but this is still to be officially confirmed.
