Alicent Hightower Timeline
Before Season 1 Age 0
Alicent Hightower was born to Otto Hightower and his wife. Her brother Gwayne had been born earlier.

Alicent’s mother died.
Season 1 Prologue Age 9
King Jaehaerys I died and was succeeded by King Viserys I. Otto Hightower was appointed Hand of the King. Alicent was raised at court.
Season 1 Age 18
Alicent was at the Dragonpit to greet Princess Rhaenyra when she returned from riding her dragon Syrax.
Season 1 Age 18
Alicent and Rhaenyra paid a visit to Queen Aemma who was heavily pregnant. Aemma told Rhaenyra that having children was a woman’s duty and childbirth was their battleground.

Alicent accompanied Rhaenyra to the godswood. They spoke of the impending royal birth and Rhaenyra expressed her hope that the child was a boy for her father’s sake.

Alicent sat with Rhaenyra at the tournament to celebrate the impending royal birth. Prince Daemon asked her for her favour. Both girls were curious about the knight who won through to the final against Prince Daemon. When he won, he removed his helmet revealing himself to be Ser Criston Cole of Dornish descent.

While the tournament was in progress, King Viserys was called to the birthing room where he was told that the baby was in the breach position and could not be turned. He was told that the child could be saved if they cut Aemma open but she would die if they did so. Viserys chose to save the child. He sat with his wife as she bled to death. The child, Baelon, died soon after its birth.
Season 1 Age 18
After the funeral of Queen Aemma and Prince Baelon, Otto Hightower summoned his daughter to the Tower of the Hand. He suggested that she visit Viserys to offer him comfort.

Alicent visited King Viserys and presented him with a book of the Histories of Westeros.

On her father’s orders, Alicent continued to visit King Viserys. The King asked her to keep their meetings secret from Rhaenyra.

Some months later, Alicent advised the King to reach out to his daughter who was grieving the loss of her mother. When praying with Rhaenyra she told her to reach out to her father.

Alicent was having dinner with the King when her father arrived and stated that Prince Daemon had stolen the dragon egg that had been set aside for Prince Baelon.

Otto Hightower left for Dragonstone to retrieve the egg but as he arrived so did Princess Rhaenyra riding Syrax. She took the egg from Daemon, telling Otto that only she could retrieve the egg without bloodshed, and returned to Kings Landing.

At the next meeting of the Small Council, King Viserys announced his intention to marry Alicent Hightower. Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhaenyra stormed out.
Season 1 Age 19
A son, Aegon, was born to King Viserys I and Alicent Hightower.
Season 1 Age 21
A very pregnant Alicent was present at the hunt to celebrate Prince Aegon’s second birthday. She tried to heal the rift between her and Rhaenyra but to no avail.
Season 1 Age 21
Alicent’s second child has been born and she reminisced with Rhaenyra that she would rather be Alicent Hightower again.

Alicent was bathing King Viserys and commented on a wound on his arm. Later that night she was summoned to the King’s room. She lay passive and unemotional beneath him as he had sex with her.

Alicent overheard her father telling the King that Rhaenyra had been seen in the brothels with Prince Daemon. She confronted Rhaenyra who told her that nothing happened between her and Daemon. She told her husband that she believed Rhaenyra.

Alicent went to bid her father farewell. She told Otto that she believed Rhaenyra had told the truth and that she was still a virgin. Otto told his daughter that she either had to prepare Aegon for kingship or hope that if Rhaenyra does succeed she doesn’t murder Alicent’s children to remove their threat to her position. He told her to choose her position sooner rather than later.
Season 1 Age 21
Alicent went to the Godswood. She met Larys, son of the new Hand of the King Lyonel Strong. He told her that the Maester had delivered a potion to Rhaenyra the day after she was accused of being with Daemon Targaryen.

Ser Criston Cole was summoned to speak to Alicent. She questioned him about Rhaenyra’s virtue, wanting to know about Rhaenyra’s relationship with Daemon. However, Ser Criston confessed to having been seduced by Rhaenyra. Alicent was very shocked by his confession but let him go without punishment. She was angry that Rhaenyra had lied to her.
Season 1 Age 21
Queen Alicent was purposely late for the preliminary wedding feast because she wanted to make a grand entrance. When she arrived she was dressed in green, the Hightower colour of war.

After Criston Cole killed Ser Joffrey Lonmouth she followed him to the Godswood.
Season 1 Age 23
Alicent’s third child, Aemond was born.
Season 1 Age 31
Alicent ordered Rhaenyra’s newborn child be brought before her. Rhaenyra arrived and showed her the child. Alicent commented on the fact that the baby had black hair despite both her and Laenor having fair hair.

Alicent and Rhaenyra’s children were at the dragonpit where Jacaerys was learning to tame his dragon. Afterwards all the children taunted Prince Aemond, who does not have a dragon, by presenting him with a pig.

Alicent interrupted Prince Aegon who was masturbating and chided him for not defending his younger brother against Rhaenyra’s children.

Ser Criston Cole was training the children of Alicent And Rhaenyra. He showed favour to Alicent’s children.

At a meeting of the Small Council, Rhaenyra suggested that the animosity between her and Alicent be put aside with the marriage of Prince Jacaerys to Princess Helaena. Alicent was against the union.

Lyonel Strong presented himself to King Viserys and resigned his position as Hand of King due to his son, Harwin’s behaviour. Alicent was angry when Lyonel refused to state what his son had done and more so when Viserys refused his resignation.

Alicent stormed out on Viserys and returned to her chamber where Larys Strong was sitting at her table eating. He hinted that he could deal with the situation.

After hearing that Lyonel and Harwin Strong had died, Alicent met with Larys again. She was horrified when he told her that her father should be able to return now and she realised that he had started the fire.

Alicent, Viserys and their children went to Driftmark for the funeral of Laena.

Alicent along with the other adults on Driftmark, rushed to the hall where there was a huge commotion taking place. Prince Aemond had claimed Rhaena’s dragon Vhaegar which had angered her daughters Baela and Rhaena. Jacaerys (Jace) and Lucerys (Luke) Velaryon had supported their cousins and fought Aemond. In the melee, Aemond broke Luke’s nose and Luke slashed Aemond across the face causing him to lose an eye.

King Viserys called for calm and demanded to know why the fight had taken place. He was angry when he heard that Aemond had called Jace and Luke bastards. Alicent then slashed Rhaenyra’s arm before storming off. Aemond told everyone that losing an eye was a fair exchange for gaining a dragon.

Alicent’s father, who had returned as Hand of the King, visited her and commended her actions. He said that getting the dragon Vhaegar on their side was worth more than the loss of an eye.

On the ship returning to Kings Landing Alicent apologised to King Viserys. Afterwards she was approached by Larys Strong who said he could take an eye in return if she so wished. She told him it was not necessary.

The health of King Viserys had deteriorated badly over the previous six years. Alicent has taken his place on the Small Council.

After hearing that Corlys Velaryon has been badly injured in battle at Stepstones, those with a claim to Driftmark arrived in Kings Landing to petition the King. Alicent and Otto Hightower secretly met with Vaemond, Corlys’ brother.

When Rhaenyra and Daemon arrived, Alicent was on her way to greet them but was called away. A servant named Dyana was very upset because she had been raped by Prince Aegon. Alicent gave her some money and a cup of morning after tea and sent her away.

Alicent marched into Prince Aegon’s room very angry at his action. He dismissed the rape as a bit of fun. Alicent told him he was disloyal to his wife – his sister Helaena. Aegon told her that he had not asked to be in the position he was in.

Alicent was present in the hall as Otto Hightower sat the iron throne in place of the King to hear the petitions for Driftmark. Vaemond spoke first stating his claim on the grounds that Lucerys (Luke) was not of Velaryon blood. As Rhaenyra began her petition on behalf of her son, Viserys arrived. This shocked those present, especially Otto and Alicent. The King was very weak and feeble and barely able to walk unaided. However, once on the throne he said that Rhaenys was the only person present who had insight into Corlys’ wishes.
Season 1 Age 37
Rhaenys stepped forward to speak and told the assembly that Corlys had always wished for Luke to succeed him. She said she agreed and accepted Rhaenyra’s proposal for Luke and Jace to marry Baela and Rhaena. Vaemond was furious. He questioned Luke’s parentage and called Rhaenyra a whore. Viserys ordered his tongue be removed. Daemon stepped forward and decapitated Vaemond.
Season 1 Age 37
Alicent attended a celebratory meal requested by Viserys. Viserys told those present that they were the people he loved the most and asked them to be nice to each other. Rhaenyra toasted Alicent and she reciprocated. Although tension remained the others made toasts in a show of harmony. Viserys called for music, looked at the happy faces around him and had a relapse. He was carried back to bed. A fight then broke out between Luke, Jace, Aemond and Aegon.

Rhaenyra told Alicent that she thought it best if she and her family returned to Driftmark. When Alicent gave her a look of sadness, Rhaenyra said she would take the children home then return on her dragon.

Alicent was woken by her maid who told her the King was dead. She went to see Otto and told him that Viserys had named Aegon as his successor.

A meeting of the small council was called to announce King’s death and accession of Aegon. The decision to crown Aegon rather than Rhaenyra was challenged by Lord Lyman Beesbury. Criston Cole killed him by smashing his head into his pewter plate. Otto Hightower then told Lord Westerling, Commander of the Kingsguard, to go to Dragonstone and kill Rhaenyra and Daemon. He took off his cloak and refused to do the deed saying that he only served the king and there was no king at present.
Season 1 Age 37
Alicent and Otto looked for Aegon in the palace but he was nowhere to be found. Alicent wanted to find Aegon before her father to try to persuade him to rule peacefully. She sent Criston Cole and Aemond to find him.

Alicent visited Rhaenys, who had been locked in her room, and asked her to swear allegiance to Aegon. Rhaenys said nothing. Alicent left after telling her to make a decision.
Season 1 Age 37
Alicent was happy that Aegon was found by Cole and Aemond and brought to her. She visited Otto and told him that she had Aegon and that things would be done her way. She said that terms would be offered to Princess Rhaenyra, Criston Cole would be Commander of the Kingsguard and that Aegon would be anointed the following day in front of the people.

Lord Larys visited Alicent. She removed her stockings in front of him and he was sexually aroused. Larys told her that her father had spies placed in the Red Keep and that one of her maids was a spy. He told Alicent that if her father continued to be overbearing he could facilitate his removal.

Alicent attended the coronation of King Aegon II. After being crowned the people cheered for him. Suddenly Rhaenys, riding her dragon, crashed into the building. However, instead of burning those on the dais, her dragon hissed a warning and she rode off.
