Catherine Princess of Wales was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton to Michael and Carole Middleton at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. She is often referred to as Kate.
1982 (20th June)
Kate was christened Catherine Elizabeth at St Andrew’s Church, Bradfield, Berkshire.
1983 (6th September)
Kate’s sister Philippa Charlotte was born at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading to Michael and Carole Middleton. She is known as Pippa.
1984 (May)
Kate and her family moved to Amman, Jordan because of her father’s work commitments with British Airways.
1986 (September)
Kate Middleton and her family returned to Berkshire and Kate started school at St Andrew’s School, Pangbourne, Berkshire.
1987 (during)

Catherine attended the wedding of Princess Eugenie to Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel Windsor. Her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte were page boy and bridesmaid.

The Duchess became patron of the Royal Photographic Society. She is a keen photographer herself and regularly releases photos of the royal children.

It was announced that Prince George and Princess Charlotte would be home-schooled during the coronavirus lockdown.

Kate, William and the royal children attended a pantomime at the London Palladium, performed for keyworkers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Catherine attended the funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh who was buried in St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
2022 (2nd June)
A four-day programme of events to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee began with the Trooping of the Colour. Catherine and William were present at all events and appeared with the royal family and their children on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

William became heir to the throne after his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. His father Charles became King Charles III.

King Charles made his first public broadcast. During the speech he confirmed that William would become Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Earl of Chester and Duke of Rothesay. Catherine took the title Catherine Princess of Wales.
