Fantastic Four Movies In Order Of Release

Created by artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby and editor/co-scripter Stan Lee, the Fantastic Four made their comic book debut in November 1961. Dubbed ‘Marvel’s first family,’ this dysfunctional team of superheroes later appeared in several animated television series, a short-lived radio show, and several movies.

The first movie to feature the Fantastic Four was made in 1994 but it was never intended for an official release. You can learn more about the reasons why here

In 2005, the Fab Foursome finally made their big screen debut but the movie was a critical flop. The 2007 sequel and the 2015 reboot also flamed out upon release, meaning there has never been a good Fantastic Four movie.

The Fantastic Four will hit the big screen again in May 2025 as part of the MCU. The movie will be part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it will be directed by Matt Shakman. Here’s hoping the movie is a good one as the fans might decide it’s “clobbering time” if it proves to be another outing for the Fantastic Four that fails to do justice to the original comic books.

Below, we list all of the Fantastic Four movies that have been released so far. These include the 1994 movie that wasn’t officially released but which can be found on YouTube, and the documentary that delves into the reasons behind that movie’s no-show.
