Before Season 1 (age 0)
Tyrion Lannister was born to Tywin and Joanna Lannister at Casterly Rock. Tyrion is a dwarf and is often referred to as ‘the Imp’.
Before Season 1 (age 0)
Tyrion’s mother, Joanna, died shortly after giving birth. His father and his sister Cersei blamed him for his mother’s death. His brother Jaime was more understanding.
Before Season 1 (age 16)
Tyrion’s father put him in charge of the drainage system at Casterly Rock.
Before Season 1 (age 16)
Tyrion met a girl named Tysha while travelling on the road with his brother Jaime. The girl claimed to have been attacked and nearly raped. Tyrion was protective and fell in love with Tysha. Shortly afterwards they married.
Before Season 1 (age 16)
Tyrion’s father found out about his marriage to Tysha. Jaime then confessed that Tysha was a prostitute and that he had paid her to pretend she had been attacked and to sleep with Tyrion to make him happy. Tywin took Tysha away and gave her to his guards. She was given a silver coin for each guard and went away very rich. Tyrion was furious and never forgave his father.
Season 1 (age 34)
Tyrion Lannister travelled with the royal party to Winterfell. King Robert wanted to ask Ned Stark to become Hand of the King to replace Jon Arryn who had been murdered. Upon reaching Winterfell, Tyrion went straight to the brothel where he met the notorious prostitute, Ros.

Jaime found Tyrion and told him to join the family for dinner. Arriving late, Tyrion found Jon Snow outside the dinner hall and spoke to him as a kindred spirit.

Tyrion reluctantly went hunting with Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark.

Tyrion Lannister was furious with his nephew Joffrey who refused to pay respects to Ned and Catelyn Stark after Bran Stark’s fall.

Tyrion told Jon Snow that his weapon training by a master at arms at Winterfell gave him an advantage over other members of the Nights Watch. He suggested that Jon Snow use his skills help the others to become better swordsmen.

Tyrion Lannister left the Wall and began the journey to Kings Landing with Yoren, a recruiter for the Night’s Watch.

Tyrion and Yoren stopped at Kings Landing. While there Tyrion gave Bran, who had woken up, a plan to make a saddle that would enable him to ride despite being paralysed.

Tyrion and Yoren continued their journey south and stopped at the Crossroads Inn. Catelyn Stark was also in the inn. She was angry because she had just learned that the knife used in the assassination attempt on Bran was said to have belonged to Tyrion at one time. She called for the support of any of her bannermen that were in the Inn at the time and arrested Tyrion.

Catelyn Stark took Tyrion Lannister to her sister Lysa’s home, the Eyrie. Bronn, a sellsword decided to accompany the party to the Eyrie.

After the party were attacked by hill tribesmen, Tyrion told Catelyn that her sister Lysa has changed a lot and that she would be surprised by the change.

When the group arrived at the Eyrie, Lysa Arryn accused Tyrion of the murder of her husband and the attempted murder of Bran Stark. She ordered that Tyrion be housed in one of the ‘sky cells’.

Tyrion managed to persuade the gaoler, Mord, to tell Lysa Arryn that he wanted to confess.

Tyrion Lannister caused a spectacle when he confessed of his crimes for most were trivial or sexual in nature. He then demanded a trial by combat and named his brother Jaime Lannister. When it was announced that the combat would take place the following day, Bronn agreed to stand as Tyrion’s champion.

Bronn won the trial by combat which meant that Tyrion Lannister was free to leave the Eyrie.

Tyrion and Bronn began to journey south. When they were surrounded by hill tribesmen, Tyrion managed to make an alliance with them.

Tyrion reached his father’s camp in the Riverlands. He discovered that Robb Stark had led an army South a battle is imminent. Tywin determined that Tyrion’s hill tribesmen should fight in the vanguard commanded by Tyrion.

Tryion returned to his tent to find that Bronn had procured a prostitute named Shae for him.

Tyrion led the tribesmen into battle but was knocked out before the battle began.

Tyrion came round and learned that Robb Stark had deceived the Lannisters and had defeated Jaime’s army, taking Jaime captive.

Tywin Lannister sent Tyrion to Kings Landing to take up position as Hand of the King. He is tasked with preventing Joffrey from doing anything stupid. Tywin also told him not to take Shae to Kings Landing with him but Tyrion defied his father.

Tyrion arrived in Kings Landing and took his position as Hand of the King.

Tyrion took up residence in the Tower of the Hand with Shae.

Tyrion Lannister scolded Cersei for allowing Joffrey to execute Ned Stark and for letting Arya Stark escape since they could have been used to gain Jaime’s release.

Lord Varys told Tyrion that he knew Shae was resident in the Tower of the Hand against Tywin’s orders.

Tyrion ordered Janos Slynt sent to the Wall for executing all of King Robert Baratheon’s bastards. He appointed Bronn as commander of the City Watch in his stead.

Tyrion arranged for Shae to become handmaiden to Sansa Stark.

Tyrion determined to discover who he could trust in Kings Landing by telling Varys, Petyr Baelish and Grand Maester Pycelle different stories regarding the marriage of Princess Myrcella.

Tyrion Lannister had Grand Mester Pycelle imprisoned after he was revealed as Cersei’s informant.

Cersei Lannister was furious with Tyrion for arranging a marriage for Myrcella. She told him that she would get revenge sometime in the future.

Tyrion asked Petyr Baelish, known as Littlefinger, to help him secure Jaime’s release by convincing Catelyn Stark to release Jaime in exchange for her daughters. Tyrion told Baelish that he could have Harrenhal and the title Lord Paramount of the Riverlands as a reward.

Tyrion discovered Joffrey ordering that Sansa be publicly beaten as punishment for her brother’s victory. Tyrion stopped the beating and told Joffrey off for his stupidity.

On the advice of Bronn, Tyrion arranged for two prostitutes to be given to Joffrey as a gift. However, Joffrey treated them very badly and ordered one to severely beat the other.

Cersei sent her cousin, Lancel, to demand that Tyrion release Maester Pycelle. Tyrion tricked Lancel into admitting that he was the Queen’s lover and then blackmailed him to become his informant.

Tyrion Lannister learned that Renly Baratheon had been killed and that his army had defected to Stannis Baratheon. He correctly guessed that Stannis would attack Kings’ Landing.

Tyrion discovered that there was a vast store of wildfire and decided to use it in the upcoming battle of Blackwater Bay.
Season 2 (age 35)
Tyrion was present at the portside for the departure of Myrcella who was travelling to Dorne to be raised and eventually married. As the group returned to the Red Keep, Joffrey was hit by excrement. After Joffrey ordered his guards to kill everyone, the crowd became violent. Tyrion ordered everyone back to the Red Keep.

Tyrion reprimanded Joffrey and slapped him for his behaviour in inciting the people to riot against them.

Meryn Trant refused to follow Tryion’s order to locate Sansa Stark. Tyrion was relieved when Sandor Clegane managed to get Sansa back safely.

Tyrion set about making plans for the upcoming battle with Stannis Baratheon.

Cersei was furious with Tyrion for agreeing that Joffrey should take part in the upcoming battle. She kidnapped Ros believing that she was Tyrion’s lover.

Tyrion was relieved that Cersei did not have Shae in captivity. He told Shae that she had to be doubly careful that Cersei did not discover their relationship.

Battle of the Blackwater
Tyrion Lannister led the city forces against those of Stannis Baratheon. Some of Stannis Baratheon’s ships were destroyed by wildfire but he was still able to land men on the shore. Cersei ordered Joffrey away from the front line and Tyrion was forced to speak to the men and personally lead an attack on Stannis by going through the network of tunnels beneath the city. During the ensuing fight, Ser Mandon Moore struck Tyrion across the face with his sword. Podrick Payne managed to kill Mandon before he could strike Tyrion again.

Tyrion awoke to find Maester Pycelle tending him. He was upset to learn that he was no longer Hand of the King. Varys told him that Bronn had been dismissed and that the tribesmen had been sent home by his father who had now taken up his position as Hand of the King.

Shae tried to persuade Tyrion to leave Kings Landing and go to Pentos with her. He refused saying that his place was in the city.
Season 3 (age 36)
Tyrion spoke to his father suggesting that he be given Casterly Rock since Jaime, as a member of the Kings Guard, will not inherit. Tywin told Tyrion that he would never make him heir to Casterly rock since he had killed his mother in childbirth. Tywin also told Tyrion that if he had another whore in his rooms she would be hanged.

Tyrion Lannister begged Shae to leave after his father’s threat but she refused.

At a meeting of the Small Council, Tyrion cleverly bested his father by dragging a chair so that it was positioned at the opposite end of the table.

Tywin declared that Tyrion should take the post of Master of Coin to replace Petyr Baelish who was going to the Eyrie to marry Lysa Arryn.

When Tyrion saw the city accounts he realised that Petyr Baelish had borrowed huge sums of money from foreign banks, particularly the Iron Bank of Braavos. He realised this could put the city in a difficult position if it was unable to make repayments since the Iron Bank would support their enemies.

Tyrion met with Varys. Varys told him how he was cut by a sorcerer. He then opened a box and showed Tyrion the sorcerer who was captive in the box.

At Tyrion’s request, Olenna Tyrell agreed to pay a large sum towards the wedding of Joffrey and Margaery.

Tywin Lannister told Tyrion that he was to marry Sansa Stark so that after Robb was defeated the Lannisters would hold power in the north. Cersei was to marry Loras Tyrell.

After a discussion with Cersei and Tywin, Tyrion believed that Joffrey had ordered Ser Mandon Moore to kill him during the Battle of Blackwater Bay.

Tyrion spoke to Sansa regarding their upcoming marriage. He told Sansa that he would be kind to her.

Tyrion Lannister married Sansa Stark. Joffrey gave Sansa away and as he led her to the altar he kicked away the steps that Tyrion was to stand on. This meant that Tyrion could not cloak Sansa and he had to ask her to stoop down. At his wedding reception Tyrion got very drunk and paid little attention to anyone.
Season 3 (age 36)
Despite being ordered by his father to consummate his marriage and get Sansa pregnant, Tyrion told Sansa that he would not touch her unless she agreed.
Season 3 (age 36)
Tyrion learned that Robb and Catelyn Stark had been murdered by Walder Frey at the Red Wedding. He had to break the news to Sansa who was distraught.
Season 3 (age 36)
After correctly deducing that his father was behind the death of Catelyn and Robb Stark, Tyrion had an argument with his father accusing him of always putting his own interests before those of anyone else. Tywin responded by saying that allowing Tyrion to live was not in his own interest.
Season 4 (age 37)
Tyrion Lannister met Oberyn Martell who had arrived in Kings Landing for Joffrey’s wedding to Margaery Tyrell. Tyrion soon discovered that Oberyn intended to seek revenge for the death of his sister Elia who had been married to Rhaegar Targaryen.
Season 4 (age 37)
Sansa was still deeply distressed about her brother and mother’s murder and refused to talk to Tyrion. Tyrion felt helpless in the situation and refused Shae’s advances.
Season 4 (age 37)
Tyrion and Sansa attended the wedding breakfast prior to Joffrey and Margaery’s wedding. He saw Cersei point out Shae to her father and was concerned for Shae’s safety. He went to Shae and told her to leave because he could not be with her due to his marriage to Sansa. Shae stormed off.
Season 4 (age 37)
Tyrion and Sansa attended the wedding feast of Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell. Joffrey embarrassed Tyrion by having five dwarfs entertain the party. Joffrey ordered Tyrion to be his cupbearer. Soon afterwards Joffrey drank from the goblet and choked to death. Tyrion Lannister was arrested and charged with Joffrey’s murder.
Season 4 (age 37)
Podrick visited Tyrion and told him that Sansa had vanished. He also said that he had been offered a knighthood if he would testify against Tyrion but had refused. Tyrion told Podrick to leave Kings Landing as soon as possible.
Season 4 (age 37)
Jaime visited Tyrion Lannister in prison. Tyrion asked him to set him free but Jaime said he believed that he would get a fair trial. Jaime said that he thought Sansa was guilty but Tyrion doubted that she would have murdered Joffrey.
Season 4 (age 37)
Tyrion Lannister stood trial and was dismayed at the evidence against him. Jaime told him that he should ask for mercy when he was found guilty. However, before the sentence could be announced Tyrion called for trial by combat.
Season 4 (age 37)
Jaime told Tyrion that he could not be his champion as his fighting skills were not good enough with one hand. Bronn also turned down Tyrion’s request that he be his champion. Luckily for Tyrion, Oberyn Martell agreed to be his champion.
Season 4 (age 37)
Oberyn Martell began his fight against the Mountain. He was at the point of killing the Mountain when he demanded that the Mountain admit to killing Elia Martell. The Mountain managed to regain the upper hand and crushed Oberyn’s head. Tyrion Lannister was sentenced to death.
Season 4 (age 37)
Before Tyrion could be executed, Jaime released him from his cell. He told him that Varys would help him escape to the Free Cities.

Free of his confinement, Tyrion went to his father’s apartment. After strangling Shae who he had found in his father’s bed he took a crossbow and shot his father, who was on the toilet, several times.

Tyrion then met Varys who secured him in a crate which was put onto a ship.
Season 5 (age 38)
After a stifling sea journey in the crate, Tyrion and Varys arrived at the home of Illyrio Mopatis in Pentos. Varys tried to persuade Tyrion to join him in finding Danaerys Targaryen and helping her to take the Iron Throne. Tyrion could see no future for himself and decided to blot out reality with alcohol.
Season 5 (age 38)
Tyrion Lannister finally agreed to go to Meereen with Varys to meet Daenerys Targaryen. Varys told Tyrion they had to remain hidden since Cersei had put a large price on his head. Still very depressed, Tyrion continued to drink large quantities of alcohol.
Season 5 (age 38)
Fed up with being confined, Tyrion Lannister got out of the carriage in Volantis. Varys walked with him. They entered a brothel, Tyrion went outside to urinate and was captured by Jorah Mormont.
Season 5 (age 38)
Jorah Mormont bound Tyrion Lannister and put him into a boat. He told Tyrion that he would be taken to the Queen.
Season 5 (age 38)
Tyrion worked out that his captor was Jorah Mormont. He also deduced that Jorah had been banished from Westeros.
Season 5 (age 38)
On their way to Meereen, Jorah and Tyrion sailed through Old Valyria. Their boat was attacked by Stone Men and Tyrion fell overboard. He was saved by Jorah who kept it secret that he had been infected by greyscale.
Season 5 (age 38)
While continuing their journey by foot, Jorah and Tyrion were captured by a slaver named Malko. Tyrion convinced the men that they were excellent fighters and that they should be taken to the fighting pits where they would make the slavers rich.

Jorah and Tyrion were sold to a slave master Yezzan zo Qaggaz who took them to the fight being held to celebrate the opening of the slave pits.
Season 5 (age 38)
Tyrion and Jorah were brought before Daenerys Targaryen. Tyrion convinced Daenerys to spare Jorah’s life and to employ him as an advisor.
Season 5 (age 38)
Tyrion went with Daenerys to the opening of the Great Games. Ser Jorah once again fought in the games. Suddenly, the militant group the Sons of the Harpy began attacking everyone at the games and the royal party became trapped. Daenerys’ dragon Drogon arrived and used dragon fire to destroy several Sons of the Harpy. Daenerys climbed onto Drogon’s back and flew away from the pit.
Season 5 (age 38)
Jorah Mormont and Daario left Meereen to search for Daenerys. Tyrion Lannister was left in the city to rule in the Queen’s absense.
Season 5 (age 38)
Varys arrived in Meereen and joined Tyrion Lannister. They agreed to rule Meereen together in Daenerys’ absence.
Season 6 (age 39)
Tyrion and Varys discovered that the Sons of the Harpy had burned every ship in the harbour. They increased efforts to find out who was in charge of the Sons of the Harpy.
Season 6 (age 39)
Tyrion decided to release Viserion and Rhaegal, the two dragons that Daenerys had chained up. He managed to get to them unscathed and undo their chains.

Tyrion and Varys discovered that the masters of the slave states, Yunkai, Astapor and Volantis were funding the Sons of the Harpy.
Season 6 (age 39)
Tyrion, Varys, Grey Worm and Missandei met with the representatives of the masters of the slave states. He offered them a seven-year period in which to phase out slavery if they stopped funding the Sons of the Harpy.

Tyrion Lannister persuaded the Red Woman, Kinvara, to support Daenerys and openly preach of her achievements to keep the people on her side.

A fleet of slaver ships arrived and put Meereen under siege. Tyrion and Grey Worm were deciding what to do when Daenerys returned on Drogon.
Season 6 (age 39)
Tyrion, Daenerys, Grey Worm and Missandei met with the slave masters. The slave masters explained their terms for Daenerys’ surrender but were told that the meeting was being held for them to surrender not the other way around. Daenerys then ordered her dragons to burn the slavers’ fleet of ships. Grey Worm killed two of the masters but allowed the third to go free to spread the word of Daenerys’ success.
Season 6 (age 39)
When Yara and Theon Greyjoy arrived in Meereen, Tyrion questioned Theon’s loyalty knowing that he had killed Bran and Rickon Stark.
Season 6 (age 39)
Before leaving for Westeros, Daenerys named Tyrion her Hand of the Queen.
Season 7 (age 40)
Tyrion and Daenerys’ followers and army arrived at Dragonstone in Westeros.
Season 7 (age 40)
Upon learning that Jon Snow had been crowned King in the North, Tyrion told Daenerys that she should make an alliance with him. Tyrion sent an invitation to Jon Snow to come to Dragonstone. He neglected to include Daenerys’ requirement that he bend the knee to her.
Season 7 (age 40)
Tyrion Lannister helped Daenerys to make a battle plan. It was agreed that the Greyjoys would move the Dornish army to Kings Landing where they and the Tyrell army would put the city under siege. At the same time the Unsullied army would take Casterly Rock. However, the Greyjoy fleet was destroyed by Euron Greyjoy and Yara was taken prisoner.
Season 7 (age 40)
Tyrion Lannister met Jon Snow and Davos Seaworth when they arrived at Dragonstone. Jon was dismayed when he realised that he was expected to bend the knee to Daenerys.

Tyrion convinced Daenerys to allow Jon to mine dragon glass from the island.

Tyrion Lannister learned that while the Unsullied had taken Casterly Rock the Lannister army had taken Highgarden. Daenerys was furious that she had now lost two important allies.

Tyrion was not happy when Daenerys decided to use her dragons to attack the Lannister force. During the battle he was concerned to see his brother Jaime nearly destroyed by dragon fire but relieved that Bronn pushed him into the river.

Tyrion wanted Randyll and Dickon Tarly to be imprisoned or sent to the wall but Daenerys ordered her dragon to burn them.

Having spoken at length to Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister knew that the Night King and his army of the dead had to be destroyed. He suggested that they persuade Cersei to agree a truce by capturing a Wight and bringing it south.

Tyrion Lannister met secretly with Jaime and explained his plan.

A raven arrived from the north saying that the mission to capture a wight had not gone well and that help was needed. Tyrion tried to persuade Daenerys not to go to the rescue but she ignored his advice.

Tyrion Lannister attended the meeting of the main parties to discuss what to do about the situation north of the Wall. Tyrion was sad to see that Bronn was now in the service of his sister. Like everyone at the meeting, Tyrion was shocked to see the wight.

After Jon revealed that he had pledged allegiance to Daenerys, Cersei left the meeting. Tyrion went to speak to her and after noticing that she was pregnant he persuaded her to return. Cersei then agreed to the truce.
Season 7 (age 40)
Tyrion, Daenerys, Jon Snow, Davos Seaworth, Gendry, Sandor Clegane, Brienne and their followers left Dragonstone to sail north. On board Tyrion saw Jon going to Daenerys’ cabin.
Season 8 (age 41)
Tyrion and those that had met with Cersei in the South reached Winterfell and began making plans to fight the Night King.

Tyrion Lannister was reunited with Sansa Stark. Sansa told him that he was wrong to trust Cersei.

When Jaime reached Winterfell alone, Tyrion learned that Cersei had not been truthful.

During the Battle for Winterfell Tyrion Lannister remained in the Crypt with the women, children and those that could not fight. He and Sansa spoke like old friends. After the dead entered the Crypt, Tyrion and Sansa found themselves together behind a tombstone for a while.

Tyrion Lannister and other survivors of the battle attended a mass cremation for those that had died.

During the celebration to mark the defeat of the Night King, Tyrion enjoyed a drinking game with Brienne, Jaime and Podrick. Tyrion embarrassed Brienne by remarking on her virginity.

Aware of Sansa’s hostility to Daenerys, Tyrion tried to convince her that Daenerys was the best choice to rule Westeros. Sansa then told Tyrion that there was a better choice.

Tyrion and Jaime were in a room talking when Bronn appeared with a crossbow. He explained that Cersei had offered him the Riverlands if he killed them both. Tyrion told Bronn that when the war was won he would give him the far greater prize of The Reach. Bronn left.

Daenerys, Tyrion, Varys and the remnants of her army sailed South to Kings Landing. They were ambushed by Euron Greyjoy’s fleet armed with huge ballista scorpions. Those that survived swam to the shore.

Daenerys, Tyrion, Varys and her army positioned themselves outside Kings Landing. Cersei, Euron, the Mountain and Missandei were on the battlements. Tyrion tried to convince Cersei to find a peaceful solution but she refused and ordered the Mountain to behead Missandei. Before she died Missandei shouted ‘Dracarys’, the word used by Daenerys to make her dragons breathe fire.
Season 8 (age 41)
After Daenerys’ announcement that she intended to burn Kings Landing as revenge for Missandei’s execution, Varys and Tyrion discussed the situation. Varys asked Tyrion how many people knew of Jon’s identity. He said of the answer, eight, that it was no longer a secret.

Tyrion witnessed Varys talking to Jon Snow and told Daenerys that Varys had betrayed her. She ordered the arrest of Varys.

Varys was arrested by Grey Worm and brought to the beach before Daenerys, Tyrion and Jon. Tyrion admitted to betraying Varys before Daenerys ordered his death by dragonfire.

Tyrion tried to persuade Daenerys not to destroy King’s Landing and kill thousands of innocent people. He told her that the people would ring the city bells if the city surrendered.

Daenerys told Tyrion that his brother, Jaime, had been captured and imprisoned. Tyrion freed Jaime and persuaded him to go and ring the city bells and open the city gates to allow the people to escape. He told Jaime that there would be a boat waiting for him on the shore. Before the battle started Tyrion asked Davos to help smuggle Jaime out of King’s Landing.

The battle began when Daenerys, riding on the back of Drogon, destroyed the Iron Fleet. She then burnt a hole in the walls of King’s Landing and set the Golden Company on fire. Next she destroyed all ballista scorpions on the ramparts.

Tyrion Lannister was relieved when he heard the city bells ringing. However, his relief soon turned to dismay when Daenerys continued burning the city killing thousands of innocent people.

After the battle Tyrion walked through the rubble amazed. When he found the remains of the Red Keep he went inside and found the bodies of Jaime and Cersei.

Tyrion was arrested by Daenerys and imprisoned. Daenerys declared that the war was not over and that the fight would continue. This caused Tyrion and Jon Snow concern.

Jon spoke to Daenerys and tried to convince her that the war was over. She told Jon that she had to free everyone build a new world. Realising she would never change Jon stabbed her in the heart and she died.

Weeks later, the leaders of the surviving great houses met to decide who would rule the Seven Kingdoms. Tyrion suggested that Bran should take over as King and that henceforth the ruler should be voted for by the great houses. Sansa requested that the North should be free and she would be the Lady of the North. Bran chose Tyrion Lannister to be Hand of the King. Bronn was Master of Coin and Davos Master of Ships.
