Princess Charlotte was born to Prince William and Catherine nee Middleton, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, London. She was the couple’s second child, her elder brother Prince George had been born in 2013. At the time of her birth she was fourth in line to the throne.
2015 (4th May)
It was announced that the baby’s name was Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. She would be referred to as Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
2015 (5th July)
Princess Charlotte was christened at St Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. Her godparents are, Laura Fellowes, Adam Middleton, Thomas van Straubenzee, James Meade and Sophie Carter.
2016 (March)
The Cambridge family enjoyed a short holiday together in the French Alps.
2016 (September)
Charlotte and her brother George accompanied their parents when they made an official tour of Canada.
2017 (July)
Charlotte and George accompanied their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, on an official visit to Poland.
2018 (January)
Charlotte began attending Willcocks Nursery School near Kensington Palace, London.

Charlotte’s brother, Louis Arthur Charles was born to William and Kate at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, London. She and her brother visited the hospital later in the day to meet their new brother.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte were page boy and bridesmaid at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
2018 (9th July)
Prince Louis Arthur Charles was christened at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
2018 (12th October)
Prince George and Princess Charlotte were page boy and bridesmaid at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel Windsor.

Charlotte joined her brother George at Thomas’s School, Battersea.
2019 (September)
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were filmed playing in the Royal Horticultural Society Back to Nature Garden which had been designed by their mother.

It was announced that Prince George and Princess Charlotte would be homes-chooled during the coronavirus outbreak.

Princess Charlotte returned to Thomas’s School, Battersea.
2020 (December)
The royal children attended a special pantomime for key workers at the London Palladium.
2022 (2nd June)
A four-day programme of events to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee began with the Trooping of the Colour. Charlotte attended three events and appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the Queen and her family.
2022 (7th September)
Princess Charlotte began attending Lambrook School, Berkshire.
2022 (8th September)
Charlotte’s father became heir to the throne after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, died at Balmoral Castle, Scotland and her grandfather Charles became King Charles III.
2022 (9th September)
King Charles III made his first public broadcast to the nation. During his speech he confirmed Prince William as Prince of Wales. Her father’s new appointment meant that Charlotte became known as Charlotte of Wales. She also became third in line to the throne.
2022 (19th September)
Princess Charlotte attended the funeral services for Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle.
